This is an excellent book translated and commented by Abu Eesa Niamatullah. The book contains selected Prophetic ḥadīth and narrations from the early Imāms on the Islamic imperative to work and engage in commerce taken from the book al-Ḥaththu ‘ala’l-Tijārah wal-Ṣinā‘ah of Imām Abu Bakr Aḥmed b. Muḥammad al-Khallāl al-Baghdādī al-Ḥanbalī (d. 311h).
