The Dua of Rasullulah(saw) in the month of Rajab
It is mentioned on the authority of Anas Bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (saw) sighted the moon of Rajab, he used to pray to Allah in the following words,
‘Allahuma Barik lana fi Rajaba wa Sha’bana wa ballighna Ramadhan’
“O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Sha’ban blessed for us, and let us reach the month of Ramadan (i.e. prolong our life up to Ramadan, so that we may benefit from its merits and blessings).”

Without even expressing the obligatory adaab of Islaam you try to give us your opinion on a tradition. Is there anything wrong with the matn? Clearly not, so the duaa is acceptable for anyone to offer, irrespective of the chain.

Does it permitable to fast in month of Rajab and how it must be done?

From Samurah bin Jundub of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, he sallallaahu’ alaihi wa sallam said: “He-who tell one word from me, even though he knew that the hadith is a lie, then he was one of the two liars.” [HSR . Ahmad (V/20), Muslim (I / 7) and Ibn Majah (no. 39)]
a weak hadith can’t be used as a hujjah
so it’s advised to be careful when quoting a hadith
