25 promises from Allah to the believers

25 promises from Allah to the believers

Taken from the lecture of Imam Anwar al-Awlaki (hafidhullah) titled “The 25 promises from Allah to the believers.”

Part 1 : Part 2

InshaAllah for the next 25 reminders I will send out every day as a reminder 1 promise from the 25 promises mentioned by Imam Anwar al-Awlaki in his lecture.

All the explanations are taken from the talk and are by Imam Anwar al-Awlaki. I may have reconstructed some sentences in order to make them grammatically correct and legible to read, as transcribing from a spoken lecture doesn’t always translate into correct written English.

Imam Anwar al-Awlaki mentions in the introduction of this lecture, that these are the promises of Allah that He(swt) promises to the believers. There may be more promises that Allah gives to the Patient ones, or the God-Fearing ones or the Grateful ones etc… But these 25 promises are to the believers (Al-Muiminoon).

It should be borne in mind that when Allah promises something, then Allah(swt) means it, and that thing will happen, as Allah(swt) says “(such is) the promise of Allah, never does Allah fail in His promise” [Al Qur’an 39:20] and in another verse “The promise of Allah is true, and He is Exalted in Power, Wise.” [Al Qur’an 31:9]

So if anybody does not see these promises being fulfilled in their life, either now or in the future, then one should not question the promise of Allah, rather one should question one’s own iman (faith). The problem is not with the promise of Allah but the problem is with iman.

Greetings from California! Peace be upon you!
Salamualaikum. I really love the word of God as he says,”If you pray to me, I will answer your prayers and I am very close to you to response, closer than your jugular veins.

Can you please locate the Koranic verse for that? Can also please give me the Arabic translation of the verse or that statement of Allah.

Thank you and may God Allah be with you.
