Fearing Allah
On the authority of Muadh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) it is related that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
“Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one and it will wipe it out, and behave well towards people.”
[Tirmidhi]
Explanation
Fearing Allah does not mean that a person is always terrified and frightened of Allah. Rather the Fear of Allah constitutes the obedience of Allah, consciousness of Allah that Allah is present wherever we are, fulfillment of the rights of Allah and also the fulfillment of the rights of other Muslims, which would come under obedience of the commands of Allah. Moreover hope in Allah’s mercy, trusting in Allah, loving Allah and Rasullullah (saw), the religion of Allah and everything associated with it, all fall into the concept of Fearing Allah. May Allah make us all of those who truly fear Him (swt). Ameen
I honestly fear Allah so much that I often fall on the ground and sometimes tears well up my eyes anf flow over my cheeks. May Allah Portect us all. It is He who made us out of clay and breathed his spirit into us. There is no god but Allah Master of All. Amen.
